HISTORY

The 28th International Symposium on Chirality (Chirality 2016: ISCD-28) will be the largest and most complete meeting covering all developments related to molecular chirality and its associated impact on science and technology. Begun in 1988, the annual International Symposium on Chirality (ISCD) is an international forum that alternates between the United States, Europe, and Asia.

The aim of Chirality 2016 is to bring together the leading experts and users of chiral technologies and provide a forum for discussion and presentation of the latest research, techniques and instrumentation from around the world.

The organization of Chirality 2016 will be similar to previous years including the Chirality Medal Award and reception, plenary and keynote lectures, contributed oral presentations on original research and applications, poster sessions and competition, as well as a symposium banquet.

Heidelberg as host city of Chirality 2016 sets itself apart from other meeting venues.

Heidelberg is a rather small city, the distances are short, the surroundings are rural, and the transport links and infrastructure are almost perfect. The over 600-year-old University, the oldest in Germany, its numerous scientific institutions, its global business enterprises, and last but not least it’s magical attraction for tourists from all over the world give Heidelberg an internationality and cosmopolitanism rarely to be found in cities of this size.
